Current Opportunities

Gilda's Greeters

Be the voice and face of Gilda’s Club as you welcome members and visitors at the door, provide information or answer phones.

 Gilda's Gardeners

The garden is a peaceful oasis to relax and enjoy the fresh air and beauty around us. We need green thumbs to take care of our gardens and provide seasonal decorating services both inside and outside of the clubhouse.

Clubhouse Events Volunteers

Support the Gilda’s Club staff by serving on an event committee or assisting at a special event. Our signature events include: Red Door Variety Show, Red Door Golf Tournament, Gilda’s Annual Lakeside Party as well as numerous community events.

Clubhouse Caterers

  Assist with the preparation of homemade goods for events held at the clubhouse.

Monthly Mailers

Assist the office with mailings, research and data entry.

Administrative Volunteers

Assist the office with mailings, research and data entry. 

Clubhouse Support

Help maintain and improve Gilda's Clubhouse; assisting with basic maintenance in the clubhouse; fixing and improving clubhouse as needed. Help us keep our pantry and cabinets organized, our refrigerators clean, and our break room stocked with all the needed supplies. 

Drop-in and Volunteer

We understand It's not always easy to have a set schedule. Our Drop-in Volunteers have the option to drop by at anytime and see what's on our  'To Do List' and help out when and where they can.

 

Community Relations Team

Speaker’s Bureau: Join our team as we generate awareness by speaking to groups throughout our region. 
 
Youth Volunteer Committee:  Become a Gilda's Club Simcoe Muskoka representative at your high school.  Work with other area teens to plan and execute an annual fundraising special event in the community.
 

Licensed or Certified Mental Health Professionals Team

Workshop Facilitator: Present/facilitate a lecture or workshop at the clubhouse that covers a topic of interest to people touched by cancer. The lecture or workshop will provide members with the opportunity to acquire new skills, tools, information, and/or techniques. Through these workshops and lectures, members build social and emotional support together by sharing in a variety of activities over time that will strengthen the clubhouse community.

 

Professionals with Special Skills and Knowledge Team

Workshop Facilitator: Present/facilitate a lecture or workshop at the clubhouse that covers a topic of interest to people touched by cancer.
