As the second Gilda's Club to open in Canada, those living with cancer in our region- men, women, teens and children - along with their families and friends will have access to a free program of emotional and social support that is not available anywhere else in Canada.  Our innovative program is an essential complement to medical care, providing networking and support groups, workshops, education and social activities in a home-like environment.

In order to provide this program at no cost to our members, Gilda's Club Simcoe Muskoka relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses and foundations who also believe that social and emotional support is essential to complete the circle of cancer care.   Your gift is sincerely appreciated and will be carefully used to provide this program to all those recently diagnosed or living with cancer in this region. As Gilda Radner said,  “No one should face cancer alone'.


Giving opportunities for individuals, families and corporations include:

  • Gift of Cash.  A tax credit can be realized through a gift of cash.

  • Gift of Publicly Listed Securities.  Income tax can potentially be saved by donating appreciated publicly listed securities directly to Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka as the capital gain that would otherwise be taxed is eliminated.

  • Pledges. Financial support to Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka may be paid over a selected time period, the maximum being a three-year commitment.

  • Monthly Giving. Pledge a monthly commitment and your donation will be automatically process on your Visa or Master Card  Become a monthly donor.

  • Legacy Gifts and Gift Planning.  Your gift is vital to the success of Gilda's Club Simcoe Muskoka's efforts to provide emotional and social support to those living with cancer and their support network. There are many ways to plan gifts of lasting significance.  Learn about giving gifts through your will, living trust or retirement plans.

  • Workplace Giving Campaigns.  One of the most simple ways to donate to Gilda's Club Barrie Ontario is by contributing at your workplace. To find out if your employer participates, check with your personnel office or contact our office to set up a campaign at your workplace.


To make a donation:

  • Complete the donation form and submit to our office at the address provided.  Please ensure your personal information is completed in full to ensure proper issuance of a tax receipt (if applicable).
